Teemu Suninen will be back behind the wheel of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 at next month’s Rally Chile, round 11 of the 2023 WRC season.
Hyundai Motorsport has confirmed its line-up for Rally Chile. Teemu Suninen will drive the team’s third Rally1 entry, alongside full-time drivers Thierry Neuville and Esapekka Lappi.
Suninen returned to rallying’s top level at Rally Estonia, followed by his home event Rally Finland. The Finn’s programme after the Estonia and Finland outings was still unconfirmed. But at least one more round has been added for Suninen with the confirmation of his Rally Chile outing.
The WRC returns to Chile for the first time since 2019. Suninen competed in Chile back then, finishing in P5 overall with the Ford Fiesta WRC.
Before heading to Chile, the WRC visits the Acropolis Rally where Dani Sordo will drive the third Hyundai.
Hyundai line-up for the final two rounds of the season: the new Central Europe Rally and Rally Japan, are still to be confirmed.
