Tänak to start Rally Estonia with a 5-minute penalty

Ott Tänak will start Rally Estonia today with a five-minute time penalty.

The home hero’s Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid had engine problems after the first run of shakedown on Thursday morning.

After an expectation in service, the M-Sport team concluded that the engine had to be replaced. Replacing an engine after scrutineering and before the first time control is allowed, however in that case, a five-minute time penalty will be applied.
