Kalle Rovanperä aims for ‘highest levels of circuit racing’ after his shock move to leave the WRC at the end of the 2025 season. Remaining within the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) family, the Finnish star will make his debut in the Japanese Super Formula Championship in 2026, with plans to prepare for a move into Formula 2 in 2027.

“Now it’s time to chase my new dreams at the highest levels of circuit-racing. I’ve been craving and working towards this for a while now. I’m excited to share that I’ll be racing in Super Formula in 2026 and in addition preparing myself to race in F2 in 2027.
