Latvala to compete at Rally Finland with Toyota Rally1 car

Jari-Matti Latvala will make his Rally1 debut at next month’s Rally Finland, driving a Toyota GR Yaris.

Latvala, who became the team principal of Toyota’s WRC team late in December 2020, will compete with a Rally1 car for the first time at Rally Finland.

The 38-year-old will make his first appearance at a WRC rally since his one-off drive at Rally Sweden 2020. The Finn will drive a fourth GR Yaris Rally1 on his home event.

WRC championship leader Kalle Rovanperä, Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta are the nominated drivers to score manufacturers’ points for Toyota at Rally Finland. Sébastien Ogier won’t be competing in Finland.
