Elfyn Evans won’t be scoring Manufacturers’ points for Toyota at this week’s Croatia Rally.
“As a mark of solidarity, teams have agreed that only two crews will be nominated as eligible for manufacturers’ points on this rally,” the Toyota World Rally Team tweeted this afternoon.
Hyundai announced last Monday that the team will participate in the event with two cars as it withdrew its third entry as a mark of respect for Craig Breen who passed away in a testing incident last Thursday.
With Hyundai not running two cars on Croatia Rally, Toyota has amended its entry as a mark of solidarity by nominating two cars to score points instead of three.
Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä are the nominated drivers to score points for Toyota this weekend while Evans Evans will only compete for drivers’ championship points like Takamoto Katsuta.
M-Sport’s entry remains unchanged as the team had originally elected to score points on Croatia Rally with its two full-time drivers Ott Tänak and Pierre-Louis Loubet.
