Hyundai reveals 2026 WRC Hyundai i20 N Rally1 livery

Hyundai Motorsport has revealed a striking new livery for its i20 N Rally1 ahead of the 2026 WRC season, underlining a fresh approach as the team targets a return to title-winning form.

While retaining its traditional Performance Blue base, the 2026 design introduces dominant black elements and replaces the long-standing orange accents with Active Red accents, creating a more aggressive and high-contrast appearance. The livery pays tribute to Hyundai’s global performance heritage, with “Nürburgring” and “Namyang” lettering on the car’s flanks referencing the brand’s European base and Korean R&D centre.

Hyundai has also confirmed that “a series of special liveries will feature at selected WRC events during the season.”

16 days of off-season testing before 2026 WRC season

Beyond its new look, Hyundai enters its 13th WRC season with renewed determination after a challenging 2025 campaign. The team has completed 16 days of off-season testing and restructured its programme to maximise competitiveness across all surfaces.

A key operational change is the relocation of Hyundai’s test base from Finland to southern France, allowing broader testing conditions ahead of demanding gravel events later in the year.

Hyundai will field three i20 N Rally1 cars throughout the season. Thierry Neuville/Martijn Wydaeghe and Adrien Fourmaux/Alexandre Coria remain as the full-season crews, while the third entry will rotate between Dani Sordo, Esapekka Lappi and Hayden Paddon, each selected for their surface expertise and experience.

Hyundai is the final WRC manufacturer to unveil its 2026 challenger. Toyota introduced a new look last week, while M-Sport Ford presented its Puma Rally1 yesterday.
